To The Lighthouse
I leave the party barefoot,
seeking to escape this pain.
Every brick in the city whispers your name,
each turn left me in shadows, distant.
Everyone seems to love, to kiss, they suffocate me,
the heat becomes unbearable.
I place my feet in the cool fountain,
seeking peace in its waters.
I pray to the heavens to transform me
into a winding river,
where the waters flow endlessly,
and time dissolves in its current.
I wish to free myself from this weight,
and find comfort in the whisper of the wind.
I wish to be a comet, free to dance in the vast sky,
leaving behind what binds my spirit to the earth, without regret.
I pray to the heavens to transform me
into a solitary lighthouse in the open sea,
where the waves crash and calm,
and the glow of my light guides the lost,
in the dark night of their storms.
I wish my poems are heard and so sweet,
that they make the sky tremble, and as all the stars fall,
they find in their hands a new beginning,
a sincere rebirth.
